Winner: While both of these sleeping pads have a great value with a low price, the Static V2 just barely tops the V. It just can’t really be beat by most sleeping pads trying to make it in its category. For the weight, durability, and comfort with such a low price, the value is outstanding. It’s hard to say anything bad about this pad, and Klymit has decided to give it to us for cheap. Conclusion The Klymit Static V2 is one of the best-valued sleeping pads on the market. For one, it’s the most comfortable sleeping pad I’ve used, providing plenty of cushion and stability. This was what I was most excited to test out, as my older pad has a normal, simple design. While I like my other pad, I do tend to wake-up multiple times in the night to adjust, as I am a side sleeper.

Anti Microbial Laminate: Permeates the inside laminate to inhibit the growth of microorganisms, including fungus and bacteria, that can cause odors and material damage. Most of the specifications on the two sleeping pads are identical. The only difference is the weight which is a result of the material choices Klymit made. The Klymit Static V is made entirely of 75D polyester but the V2 is made with 30D polyester on the top and 75D polyester on the bottom.

Although they are slightly more expensive than some of the cheaper and less durable sleeping mats currently being sold, they are in no way the most expensive sleeping pads either.
